Michael Pacquiao Shares Bad Treatment in School: “I couldn’t fit in… they make fun of me”

Michael Pacquiao Admits He Experienced Bad Treatment in His School

MICHAEL PACQUIAO – The son of the boxing legend Manny Pacquiao revealed that he experienced bad treatment in his school.

Michael Pacquiao recently described a horrible experience while studying at a school in his father’s hometown in an interview with veteran journalist Julius Babao. Many people assumed that because Michael is the son of a great boxer and politician, he would have no troubles in life.

He did, however, admit to being mistreated, particularly at the school he attended in General Santos City. Michael opted to transfer his children to Hope Christian School in General Santos City in 2015 after years of studying at Brent International School in Laguna.

Michael stated that the treatment he received from his classmates caused him too much sadness. Michael’s troubles were exacerbated by the changing surroundings in General Santos.

“I couldn’t fit in, kasi Pacquiao, so they thought Inglisero lang. No one really wanted to talk to me. Because of my name also. They were afraid,” he said.

The son of the “Pambansang Kamao” claimed that some people made fun of his appearance as well. He even said that several of his classmates simply wanted to hang around with him because of his money.

“Most of the time in school, I would hear… make fun of me, saka they would make fun of my face, my name, tsaka backstab me. Talk behind your back,” he remarked.

“They were pretending to be [my] friends because yung name ko. People were nice to me because they just wanted something from me. Libre ko sila, like that. In reality they don’t really genuinely like me for who I am,” Michael stressed.

Michael stated that even if you have a lot of money, you will experience troubles in life. Even though they have money, he claims to have many personal troubles. He is grateful, though, to those who assisted him in getting through it.

“Just because na mayaman kami, wala nang problems ‘cause money doesn’t solve all problems. I still have many problems personally. I’m glad I have people beside me to help me go through it,” he said in the interview.
