In a distressing turn of events, a man was stabbed by his friend in Manila allegedly due to an unpaid debt that had remained unsettled for quite some time. The incident occurred in Barangay 823, Paco.

Samuel Bajeta, the suspect, attacked his friend Guilmer Villanueva while he was merely relaxing outside his house. The incident, allegedly triggered by a long-overdue debt, took place in the mentioned barangay.

Following the stabbing, the suspect quickly fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended by the police.

Guilmer Villanueva, who sustained wounds to his chest, was promptly rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. Though the extent of his injuries has not been disclosed, he is currently in the process of recovering from the incident.

According to the police, Samuel Bajeta had been released from prison only three months prior due to drug-related charges. His recent involvement in the stabbing has raised concerns about his potential recidivism and the need for appropriate legal action.

The suspect, Samuel Bajeta, admitted to being responsible for the stabbing incident involving his friend. He claimed that he had repeatedly requested payment for a debt amounting to P3,000, but felt ignored and disregarded by Villanueva.

“Ganun, paulit-ulit ang ginagawa niya. Yung pang-lima, ako na po ang pumunta. Tapos, paglapit ko, sinabi kong, ‘ano?’ gumanun din siya ‘ano rin?’ Kaya po nag-init ang ulo ko,” the suspect said.

While expressing remorse for his actions, Bajeta expressed a willingness to accept the consequences of his actions.
