Cong. Sandro Marcos Breaks Silence on Zaldy Co Posting his Alleged Budget Insertions
SANDRO MARCOS – The presidential Son claimed that the intel allegedly suggests that Zaldy Co made a deal with those who will benefit if the administration in the Philippines will be changed.
Countless Filipinos were shocked and left in doubts when Zaldy Co tagged President Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the corruption issue in the Philippine government. According to him, Marcos Jr. and Romualdez allegedly masterminded a P100-billion budget insertion in the 2025 national budget.
According to Co, he confirmed the alleged presidential order to insert P100 billion in the 2025 national budget to then-Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and then-Department of Budget and Management Sec. Amenah Pangandaman. They supposedly confirmed it.
The Palace immediately announced the resignation of Bersamin and Pangandaman after they were tagged in the flood control mess. Afterwards, Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson confirmed the P100-billion budget insertion but claimed that Marcos Jr.’s name was allegedly only used. He claimed that the President allegedly has no knowledge about the said insertion.
Following his allegations against Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Martin Romualdez, Zaldy Co recently exposed the alleged budget insertions of presidential son and Ilocos Norte Cong. Sandro Marcos from 2022 to 2025. According to him, the eldest son of Marcos Jr. was able to insert more than P50 billion in the national budget in just three (3) years.
Cong. Sandro Marcos immediately issued a statement on the claims of Zaldy Co. Through a post on his social media account, the presidential Son stressed that anyone can sit in front of the camera and make his claims.
“I hope that the public can be reminded that we are talking of a person with no credibility whose vested interests are to release these videos to destabilize the government,” the younger Marcos said.
Cong. Sandro Marcos also claimed that Zaldy Co allegedly wants chaos in the government so he can free himself from legal problems. According to the presidential son, the former House member allegedly wants to destabilize the Marcos Jr. administration citing what the intelligence reports allegedly found.
“Gusto niyang pabagsakin ang kasalukuyang administrasyon para ma-abswelto siya sa kanyang mga krimen. In fact, the intel suggests he already struck a deal with those who stand to benefit from such a change,” Marcos stated.
In his statement, the presidential Son who is also the House Deputy Majority Floor Leader called on the Filipinos not to be fooled by Zaldy Co. According to him, Co is allegedly a criminal who is trying to escape from justice and not a journalist nor a crusader for truth.
Previously, Pres. Bongbong Marcos asked Zaldy Co why he’s hiding from afar and dared him to return to the Philippines and face the accusations against him.
