Ruru Madrid admitted that he is a fan of Robin Padilla
Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid revealed that he has this reaction when he first met action star-turned-politician Robin Padilla.
Ruru is one of the top leading men of the Kapuso network. He has done action and drama series over the years. His current TV project is the series The Write One with his real-life girlfriend Bianca Umali.
Although it is a drama series, Ruru had an intense confrontation scene with co-actor Paul Salas and this went viral just recently.
Aside from his new series, Ruru Madrid also has a new movie. It is titled Video City with Yassi Pressman. During the recent press conference for this movie, based on the article in Newsko, the actor shared that he is a big fan of Robin Padilla.
The actor-turned-public servant was one of the most popular action stars in the 1990s. During the prime of his career, he starred in many action movies.
Ruru recalled that he would always rent Robin’s movies in Video City, the video rental shop of Viva which was so popular during the 90s. He shared that among Robin’s movies, he would often rent Maging Sino Ka Man and Baby Ama.
When he met his idol for the first time, Ruru admitted that it was a surreal moment for him. “Pero the first time na nakita ko po si Robin Padilla, si Sen. Robin Padilla, eh talagang hindi po ako nakagalaw sa kinatatayuan ko,” he shared.
Ruru Madrid also said that he froze when he saw the action star. “Natulala ako parang ‘yung pakiramdam na kahit tao siya, pakiramdam ko hindi siya tao. Ganu’n ako na-starstruck sa kanya,” the Kapuso actor said.
