Kenneth Egano’s Opponent Apologized and Heartbroken with the Tragic Boxing Match

JASON FACULARIN – Filipino boxer Kenneth Egano’s opponent in the tragic boxing match got heartbroken and apologized.

Filipino boxer Jason Facularin was heartbroken by the death of Kenneth Egano, 22, who had recently defeated him in a fight in Cavite. According to Facularin, he did not anticipate this awful event to occur following their efforts inside the ring.

“Kenneth Egano my friend… I didn’t expect this would happen my friend, we did all the best we can but why does this have to happen? Sorry for what happened. My condolences my friend. I hope you are now journeying to a good place,” Facularin said in his post.

In the abovementioned post, Facularin’s face still bears the scars from Egano’s powerful punches during their bout this Saturday at the Imus Sports Gymnasium in Imus, Cavite. Egano, 22, won a unanimous decision over Facularin.

However, the former collapsed before the result was announced. Egano was given oxygen and placed on a stretcher before being taken to the hospital, where he was ruled comatose.

Egano died four days later as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage. The fight took place on May 6 at Manny Pacquiao’s Blow by Blow boxing event. Manny Pacquiao’s camp had stated that they will cover Egano’s hospital fees.
