Liza Soberano: Ogie Diaz Reveals She Rejected Being Paired w/ Other Actors Before

In a podcast, Liza Soberano made claims and statements that caught the attention of many people.

LIZA SOBERANO – Ogie Diaz has this revelation after Liza Soberano got candid about love teams in the Philippines.

During an interview of Liza Soberano with  BTOB’s Peniel and Ashley Choi for the “Get Real” podcast, she got candid about the love teams in the Philippines. She shared that love teams are expected to be “reel and real” in the country.

According to her, love teams are supposed to work together throughout their careers and are expected to be together on and off the camera.

“In love teams, you’re expected to be with just that one person throughout your career and in your personal life. People don’t want to see you aside any other male actor or any other male in general,” she added.

Before going solo, Liza is also a part of this phenomenon. She was paired with Enrique Gil who is also her real-life boyfriend. They are considered one of the more popular love teams in the country in the 2010s, alongside their contemporaries, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla or KathNiel, and James Reid and Nadine Lustre a.k.a JaDine

She even added that being in a love team is the only way to be a popular celebrity in the Philippines if someone’s not a singer.

“In the Philippines the only way to become a big star really — if you’re not a singer, if you’re an actor — is to be in a love team,” she said.

Since she was once a part of this phenomenon, her former manager Ogie Diaz revealed something about her. Accordingly, she and Quen were offered before to do different projects but she was the one to refuse to accept the offer because Quen was her “comfort zone”.

According to Diaz, her statement before about being paired with other actors was: “Hindi po ako komportable na iba po ang leading man ko. Ang comfort zone ko po ay si Quen.”
