According to the NBI investigation, the suspect met the victim on a dating site. He convinced her to show her intimate body parts during their video call, which she did not know was being recorded.

The suspect then used the recorded video to blackmail the victim into meeting and having intercourse with him.

During their exchange of messages, the victim offered to pay, but the suspect refused and insisted on having intercourse with her. He allegedly threatened to upload the video if the victim did not agree to his demands.

The NBI Eastern Visayas Regional Director, Atty. Jun Dongallo, warned the public not to give sensitive photos or videos to anyone. He urged them to be careful in engaging in online dating and to avoid meeting people they only met online.

The suspect is currently in NBI custody, and authorities are still investigating the incident. The victim is receiving assistance from the authorities to help her recover from the trauma she experienced.
