Security Guard Holds Female Dentist as Hostage Inside Clinic in Pangasinan
Police authorities arrested a security guard after he allegedly holds a female dentist as a hostage inside the clinic in Pangasinan.
Major Arturo Melchor Jr, chief of police of the Philippine National Police (PNP), cornered a hostage taker and freed a victim at Umisem Dental Clinic, Paragas Building, Barangay Pangasinan’s Calvo Mangatarem. Gerardo Placido Paquiz, 46, was recognized as the hostage taker.
According to a report from the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, the suspect was a guard who lived in the Mangatarem barangay in Caoile-Olegario. According to the allegation, Gerardo went into the Umisem Dental Clinic and appeared to be a customer.
He instantly seized Dra, the victim. Kimberly Aquino Ragudo, 44, is being held hostage with a knife to her throat. When a customer of the aforementioned dental practice escaped, the police were immediately contacted.
Major Melchor Jr. and his team were dispatched to the scene. The cops attempted to bargain with and appease the suspect. Based on the report, the victim suffered a slight neck injury and was sent to Mangatarem District Hospital before being released.
The suspect and the weapon he used are being held by Mangatarem Police. The corresponding charges are also being prepared against him. Colonel Jeff E Fanged, Provincial Director of the Pangasinan Police Department, thanked the people for their prompt response.
Fanged complimented the whole Mangatarem Police Department for their rapid response and bravery in settling the issue without any loss of life to either the victim or the perpetrator.
