Jake Cuenca is ready to do a trans role in the future
Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca is embracing versatility as an actor as he said that he would love to do a trans role for a future project.
Jake has done different roles in TV series and movies. Sometimes, he would do the “kontrabida” role but he can also pull off leading man roles. Over the years, he showed his acting caliber in different genres.
To explore more in his acting career, Jake also ventured into a stage play. He stars in DickTalk which is staged at the RCBC Theater until April 23.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN News, the actor said that he would also want to play the character of a transgender in the future.
“I think, which I’ve done naman na in the past but now I think at least with my maturity, with how I understand life now and my body, parang I’d love to do a trans role now. I think I could really, really do a trans role na really be that part,” Jake Cuenca shared.
He said that this is the very opposite of himself in real life. When asked about what he wants to achieve when it comes to his acting career, the actor said that he wants to build a legacy for himself.
He would want to see that day that people would study his works and revisit his career like the amazing roles that he did, the characters he portrayed, and the milestones that he has achieved. “Projects that will last the test of time,” he added.
“More than anything for me, when I first watch my favorite film, when I was a kid what I will never forget is the feeling that movie gave me. And I can only hope that I can give that same feeling to my audience, something na pagtanda nila ay naiisip pa rin nila ang mga project na nagawa ko,” the Kapamilya actor shared.
Jake Cuenca is currently one of the cast members of the Kapamilya primetime action-drama series The Iron Heart which also features Richard Gutierrez, Sue Ramirez, Dimples Romana, and many more.
