PAGASA Says Amihan & Localized Thunderstorms to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (March 11, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The amihan and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon.
The amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Apayao, Kalinga and Aurora.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
“Generally ay walang kaulapan sa buong bansa, at na sa dry air tayo, so halos walang kaulapan ang mabubuo sa kalupaan,” Pagasa forecaster Patrick Del Mundo said.
