PAGASA Says Amihan to Bring Cooler Weather Conditions Until Next Week
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cooler weather conditions until next week.
On Friday (March 10, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that the amihan will bring light rain over Luzon while the localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rains over Visayas and Mindanao.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao.
The weather agency has warned the public about possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
PAGASA said that amihan will bring cooler weather conditions to most parts of Luzon until next week.
“Sa mga nagtatanong kung magsisimula na ba ang tag init, kung magtatapos na ba ang amihan, hindi po, Aasahan pa din po natin ang surge ng northeast monsoon hanggang sa susunod na linggo,” weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
Fair weather condition is expected nationwide with chances of light rains and isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
