On Thursday (March 9, 2023), authorities in Quezon City arrested an Indian national identified as Jagdeep Singh Brar, 30, a resident of Barangay Batasan Hills. Brar was apprehended for attempting to rob a Grab delivery rider.

According to the Quezon City Police District, the victim, Teody Dichoso Jr., was waiting for a customer booking at a curb nearby when Brar attempted to rob him. However, Dichoso managed to resist and flee from the scene.

The Grab employee then sought help from patrolling police officers who responded immediately and apprehended the suspect.

The police investigation revealed that Brar resorted to robbery due to financial losses. He was found to be in possession of an unregistered revolver with a defaced serial number, which is a violation of the country’s strict gun laws.
