Courier Employee Shot by Robbery Suspects in a Warehouse in Malabon

A female courier employee suffers gunshot wounds after being shot by robbers in a warehouse in Malabon City.

One of the eight unidentified armed men that looted the warehouse of an express delivery service company in Barangay Potrero, Malabon City, shot and injured a woman. The victim was named “Jen” in a Manila Bulletin report.

The victim is a courier service firm employee, according to Col Eros Miranda, deputy district director for operations of the Northern Police District (NPD). Jen was hit in the left arm and thigh with a gunshot.

She was brought to Caloocan City’s Manila Central University Hospital for treatment. Miranda stated that the robbery hold-up occurred around 8:10 p.m. near Industry Road in Barangay Potrero, where things were stored for delivery to clients.

According to the police official, authorities are still investigating why the suspects shot the victim. Miranda stated that eight individuals wearing facemasks and bull hats abruptly entered the premises based on closed-circuit video cameras and reports.

The defendants allegedly stole the personal items of 15 courier company employees, including two security guards. They took off in a sport utility vehicle. According to him, some of the suspects were armed with high-caliber firearms, while others were carrying pistols.

Ten cell phones, bags, ATM cards, an unspecified amount of money, and one of the security guards’ service weapons were among those stolen. The suspects did not take any of the merchandise from the customers.

Based on the report, Miranda stated that the injured victim is presently in good condition. He further stated that the issue is still being investigated.
