After releasing her vlog, Liza Soberano speaks about her relationship with her former network and management.
LIZA SOBERANO – Careless Music artist Liza Soberano speaks about her relationship now with ABS-CBN and Star Magic.
After over a decade, Liza Soberano leaves ABS-CBN and Star Magic to pursue a different direction in her career. She signed a contract under Careless Music, the company of James Reid who, just like her, was formerly an artist of ABS-CBN.
In her latest vlog, she shared that her decision paved way for her to finally live her life on her own terms. She is finally taking control after struggling in the past. Her 14-minute vlog contained her life updates.
“I’ve embarked on a fresh new chapter, and I’m finally taking control of my life, pursuing dreams that I’ve always had to hold off,” she said. And added, “It’s exciting, terrifying, anxiety-filled, and confusing, but what I know for sure is that for the first time, I’m finally living my life for me.”
She has also let go of some of her endorsements and is currently working on a new one which, for her, will mark her “first jab at directing”.
Did she cut ties with her previous network and management?
According to the actress, she’s actually in constant communication with her Star Magic family. She did not lose touch with them.
She then shared based on a report from ABS-CBN, “Some of my directors from ABS-CBN who I worked closely with throughout the years, I’ve always been supportive and grateful towards everyone. Thank you to everyone.”
To recall, Liza rose to fame for her roles in Dolce Amore (2016), Bagani (2018), My Ex and Whys (2017), and Alone/Together (2019). She was also the voice of the titular protagonist of Netflix’s 2021 animated feature Trese.
And the co-actor she was with in most of her projects is Enrique Gil. Though their love team has already disbanded, their real-life relationship still continues.
