DepEd Launch Investigation Against Lady Teacher Scolding Students for Cheating in Viral Video
DEPED – The Department of Education starts to investigate the female teacher who scolded her students in viral video for cheating during exams.
Recently, a lady teacher has been accused of publicly shaming and humiliating his students on social media. The video quickly went viral and sparked outrage among netizens and parents, who are calling for justice for the affected students.
According to reports, the educator, who is also a TikTok vlogger (Laagang Teacher), posted a video on social media showing her scolding and berating students for cheating during the periodic examination. The two Grade 11 students did not only get the same score but also have the same correct and wrong answers.
She even put in their test papers the word “cheating”, called out the names of cheaters and pointed out their mistakes in front of their classmates. Parents and concerned citizens are calling for the vlogger to be held accountable for his actions, which they say are unacceptable and violated the rights of the students.
The online community argues that public shaming and humiliating students is a form of bullying and can have long-lasting impacts on children’s mental and emotional well-being.
In response, the Department of Education (DepEd) Region 7 director Salustiano Jimenez launch an investigation into the matter and take appropriate action if it finds that the teacher has indeed violated any of its policies or the rights of the students.
Meanwhile, a teacher identified as Je Mich expressed her disappointment regarding the incident and claimed that the vlogger reportedly violated BP 232 (Education Act) and RA 10173 (Data Privacy Law).
“Prudence is important, above all things, when posting online. Lets us not sacrifice our values, risk our professions and reputation (as well as that of others, simply for the sake of content,” Mich said.
The investigation is still ongoing, and it remains to be seen what action DepEd will take against the vlogger. However, the public is hopeful that the department will take strong measures to address the issue and send a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated.

I know that it was very wrong to humiliate someone specially the minors one , cause it can affect their mental health, however we are just human we commit mistakes, although my statement is understatement however it’s the reality, please do reflect your mistake ma’am and apologize to the students whom you caused trauma.

I perfectly agree to you. Becuase humiliating a student in front of their friends and other teachers can have many consequences. It can garnish and destroy their self-respect. In many cases, it can leave a scar on their personality that can destroy them.
