PAGASA Says Amihan & Localized Thunderstorms Will Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines will experience fair weather conditions except for the chances of rains.

On Tuesday (February 7, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies will be affecting the country. The entire country will have a fair weather condition but the two systems will bring isolated rains, according to weather specialist Obet Badrina.

PAGASA

“Malaking bahagi ng Luzon ay makakaranas ng generally fair weather … yung bahagi ng Batanes at Babuyan Islands ay unti-unting makararanas na ng epekto ng northeast monsoon o amihan, kaya possible ang isolated o pulo-pulong mahihinang pag-ulan,” Badrina said.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition due to the localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency warned the public about flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the eastern section of the country will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
