PAGASA Says PH to Experience Generally Fair Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that generally fair weather is expected over the entire country as amihan weakens.

On Friday (February 3, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies, and light rains over Luzon and Visayas.

Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with light rains over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, Luzon including Metro Manila and Visayas.

The localized thunderstorms will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Mindanao.

Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said that the entire country is expecting generally fair weather as the northeast monsoon weakens. However, amihan may strengthen by mid-February until the end of the month.

The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon and Visayas will be moderate to rough. Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
