AIAI DELAS ALAS – Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas and her former husband Miguel Vera speak about their past relationship.
If Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez can do it, Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas and her former husband Miguel Vera can too. Delas Alas and Vera are set to perform together onstage even after years of ending their marriage – separated but happily separated.
They are bound to perform together for their first full-length concert, “Ang Dating Kami,” on January 21, 2023, at the Bristol Civic Auditorium in Bellflower, California. What their concert is called is a humorous play previous relationship which ended 24 years ago.
To recall, their love story started in 1992 and during this time, they were under the same talent manager, the late Angie Magbanua. They have been together for six years but in 1998, they ended their relationship.
They have two children – Nicolo and Sophia – and both of their children stayed with the Comedy Queen.
And in a rare interview, the former couple sat together and spoke about their past marriage. Vera said that his takeaway from their failed marriage is lessons learned. There were no regrets.
He did realize, “Natutunan ko yung paggawa ng mga desisyon na hindi padalus-dalos. Nagkaroon ng problema dahil sa desisyon, hindi nagbibigayan, nagkaroon ng miscommunication…”
Ad this is what happened to them. They got lost in translation of their emotions. And with this learning, he hopes that it will not happen in his next relationship. Being with Aiai in the past, he expressed that it is always having her around.
The Queen of Comedy also added based on a report from PEP, “Masaya kami. Hindi lang kami masaya kapag nag-aaway kami.”
Meanwhile, their concert will have two shows 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., which means it is scheduled for only one night. Delas Alas is currently in the US and in a previous article, she was working at a post-acute facility and works there as an activity director.
