Bayani Agbayani shared his political views
Veteran comedian Bayani Agbayani boldly expressed his views regarding widespread government corruption.
Although known in showbiz as a comedian, Bayani takes national issues very seriously, particularly the fraud and theft committed by certain corrupt officials. Sometimes, he would even use his social media platforms to share his views about politics and social issues.
For this reason, the veteran comedian believes that the death penalty should be reinstated in the Philippines for officials proven to be corrupt.

During Bayani’s recent guest appearance on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, he was asked about a past social media post regarding anomalous flood control projects.
“Kapag nagnakaw ka, ibinoto ka ng tao o nasa poder ka ng gobyerno, nagtatrabaho, dapat bitay. Para sa ganu’n wala nang gumaya pa na iba,” Bayani Agbayani strongly said.
He said that graft, corruption, and plunder are really the problem, and there are politicians who treat entering government service as a business venture.
On the other hand, for the seasoned comedian, respecting other people’s convictions and perspectives is also important. “Dapat kung ano ang ating paninindigan at paniniwala, igalang ng bawat kapwa. Kasi hindi naman puwedeng kung gusto mo ng chicken, gusto ko rin,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bayani Agbayani also confirmed his plan to re-enter politics after the party-list group he joined lost in the 2025 elections.
He shared that he wants to help working students, drawing from his own experience as a working student during his school days.
Bayani shared that he was a working student, and this is the reason why he wants to help students who are sending themselves to school. The comedian graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, majoring in Broadcasting, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).
