Jennylyn Mercado’s Managers Defend Her Following Patrick Garcia’s Interview
Jennylyn Mercado’s managers and people close to her have spoken out following Patrick Garcia’s recent interview about his past relationship with the actress and their son, Jazz. Jennylyn has chosen not to comment on the issue, continuing her long-standing decision to avoid discussing her past with Patrick publicly.
Aguila Entertainment confirmed that Jennylyn will not issue a statement about the controversial interview. The management said both Jennylyn and Patrick had previously avoided discussing each other, with Patrick reportedly asking that personal matters involving Jennylyn and their son not be published if they came up during interviews.
After Patrick discussed their past publicly, Jennylyn’s longtime manager, Becky Aguila, posted a message expressing her disappointment. Becky said she was speaking as someone who has treated Jennylyn like a daughter. She questioned why Patrick chose to discuss the matter publicly instead of reaching out privately to resolve any concerns.

Becky also claimed that Patrick’s account did not include important details. She said Jennylyn had remained silent for years out of respect for Patrick, their son Jazz, and his family. Becky also suggested that Jennylyn had experienced hurt in the past but chose not to publicly discuss what happened.

Katrina Aguila, Becky’s daughter and Jennylyn’s current manager, also defended the actress. She recalled how Jennylyn returned to work shortly after giving birth to her son, Jazz, and even traveled to the United States to work as a singer to support him and her family.
Katrina described Jennylyn as a hardworking and strong single mother who faced many difficulties while building a stable future for Jazz. She also shared that Jennylyn was the first artist to trust her when she started working in her mother’s agency. Meanwhile, Jennylyn’s husband, Dennis Trillo, appeared to respond to the controversy by encouraging people to spread love instead of hate, especially when children are involved.
