Robin Padilla talked about his wife
Senator Robin Padilla shared that he likes how his wife Mhies on a Mission host Mariel Padilla gets jealous.
Robin was one of the most in-demand action stars of his generation. He is considered “The Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema.” With his showbiz status, it is inevitable that he will be linked to his leading ladies and other female celebrities.
Even after marrying Mariel, Robin still gets admiration from his female fans. In a recent interview, based on the article in Pang-Masa, the actor-turned-politician, admitted that his wife is “selosa.”
However, Robin Padilla said that he likes how Mariel Padilla would show that she is jealous. “Hindi ako nakakalusot, binabara na kaagad niya ako,” he said but added that his wife does not nag.
The Senator shared that the TV host would start with a positive story and eventually, would ask about his companion that day. Robin said that it was sort of an investigation.
“Halimbawa, dumating ako ng bahay, mauupo na ‘yun, magkukuwento na ‘yun. ‘Pag inumpisahan niya ng magandang kwento hanggang papunta na sa ‘o, ano naman ang ginawa mo?’ O sino naman ‘yung kasama mo?’ Iaano niya ‘yun. Alam mo na, mararamdaman mo na. Meron nang imbestigasyon,” he shared.
On the other hand, he said that Mariel would not confront him about it and would not nag also. With her telling a story at first and going to the direct question about his companion, Robin said, “Paano ka ngayon magdadahilan du’n?”
When asked about the secret of long-lasting marriage, Robin Padilla said that it is having respect for each other, especially having their 15-year age gap. They also accepted the fact that their worlds are different.
The Senator said that his wife’s world is “maingay” while he wants “tahimik.” However, Robin commended Mariel for her effort to adjust. “Ang maganda kay Mariel, nag-a-adjust siya. Hindi ako ang nag-a-adjust, siya ang nag-a-adjust,” he said.
