Chito Miranda On Last Gig This 2022: "My worst this year but..."

Chito Miranda talked about Parokya Ni Edgar’s last gig for this year

Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda said that their last gig this 2022 is his “worst for this year” but he saw an overwhelming scenario.

Chito and his band are considered icons in the music industry in the Philippines. They have been together for almost three decades now. Aside from sharing a common love for music, they have maintained the friendship between them from the time they were just starting until their band became so popular.

In a recent Instagram post, Chito shared that he was not expecting that their last gig will push through. He thought that the last performance that they will have was on December 19 and so he already planned his vacation with his family on December 20 and 21.

However, the last gig pushed through and he did not want his kids to be dismayed and so they pushed their planned vacation. Chito Miranda was happy to see his kids enjoying their beach getaway even though it was raining but after that, his voice was not in a good condition.

“Wala talaga…sama talaga ng boses ko. Ginising na ko at tutugtog na daw kami,” he said even though he tried his best to take a rest in their hotel room before the performance. “Tonight’s gig was definitely my worst for this year,” Chito said but continued with an optimistic perspective, “but also one of the best for Parokya.”

The crowd enjoyed their show regardless of what was his voice that night and that was something that made him elated. Despite having a problem with his voice that night, they performed more songs than what was actually planned.

“I was struggling buong set at nahihiya talaga ako kasi di ko mabigay yung best ko…pero ni once never pina-feel ng crowd na kulang yung binibigay namin bilang banda,” Chito Miranda shared. With this, he expressed gratitude to their fans.
