Alden Richards now has a production company
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards revealed the reason why he decided to co-produce the reunion concert of the 90s hit band Eraserheads.
Fans of Eheads have been anticipating seeing the band perform together once again after they disbanded in 2002. This year, their much-awaited event is finally happening. Ely Buendia, Raymund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro will perform their hit songs for their Huling El Bimbo reunion concert at SMDC Festival Grounds tomorrow.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Alden was asked about his company’s (Myriad Entertainment Corp.) decision to co-produce the Eheads concert.
The Kapuso actor is very much familiar with the songs of the band. “The Eraserheads and its music have really crossed generations. I was in high school when I first learned about their music. And it’s easy to understand how their songs have resonated with music lovers of any age,” Alden Richards said.
He also said that the songs that the band created are timeless. “I don’t think there’s anybody in the room who has not heard of a single Eheads song,” he said. As a producer, when the opportunity came, Alden immediately grabbed it.
The actor also said that it is high time for the public to watch Eheads members perform together. Fans can expect songs that highlight the lives of the band members will be performed.
“At the peak of their popularity, iba ang effect ng music nila … which transcends different generations and age groups. Their songs mean different things to different people, so the idea of getting all of them together in a live concert is [an endeavor worth pursuing]. It’s time to bring back the feels!” the Kapuso actor said.
Although Alden Richards is now a producer, he is still focused on doing acting stints. The most recent TV series that he did was Start-Up PH which is set to end on December 23.
