Tanya Bautista, Vhong Navarro’s Wife, Breaks Silence on his Temporary Liberty
VHONG NAVARRO’S WIFE – Tanya Bautista spoke on the temporary release of the Showtime host after he posted P1-million bail.
In November, actor-TV host Vhong Navarro was transferred to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male Dormitory in Taguig City from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Facility. He stayed in the latter for several weeks since he voluntarily surrended in September following the release of a warrant of arrest against him.
The Court released an arrest warrant against Navarro over the charges filed against him by Deniece Cornejo. Initially, the actor’s camp was worried about his transfer to Taguig City Jail but the BJMP assured them that they will protect him and ensure his safety while he is in their custody.
Vhong Navarro appealed to the Court to allow him to post bail for his temporary liberty. Yesterday, the decision from Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) allowing the actor-TV host to post P1-million as bail for his temporary release was out.
Vhong Navarro posted P1-million for his temporary release. Tanya Bautista, Vhong Navarro;s wife, was the one who fetched the Showtime host from Taguig BJMP where he was detained.
Before she entered the facility, Tanya Bautista expressed her happiness to ABS-CBN News over the granting of bail to her husband. Vhong Navarro’s wife expressed that they are looking forward to celebrating the holidays as a family together.
“Sobrang happy. It’s going to be a blessed Christmas, a very good Christmas for the family,” Tanya said.
Based on the report, Tanya stressed that they are dealing with things “one day at a time”. According to her, they are just following the process and this time it is the granting of the bail which they are really so grateful.
