Deniece Cornejo Testified at the Bail Hearing on Case Vs. Vhong Navarro

DENIECE CORNEJO – The model appeared as a witness against the petition to bail filed by actor-comedian Vhong Navarro who is now detained.

It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro remains detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) due to the cases filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo. They were involved in a condominium incident back in 2014 where she accused the actor-comedian of taking advantage of her when he visited her.

Navarro’s camp is vocal that they were really expecting the charges filed against the actor-comedian is approaching its end. His arrest which took place a few days after he and his wife celebrated their wedding anniversary really came as a shock to them and caught them unprepared.

According to Vhong’s wife, the actor-comedian’s trauma from the incident in 2014 was triggered by the recent happenings. A lot of people have expressed support to the Showtime host. His camp filed a petition to allow him to post a bail.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Deniece Cornejo appeared as witness at the fourth bail hearing held at Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 69 over the case she filed against Vhong Navarro.

Deniece Cornejo’s legal counsel, Attorney Howard Calleja, did not issue a comment if Jed Fernandez will appear as a witness in the next bail hearing set on November 10, 2022. According to him, the hearing is not yet over and Deniece will appear to testify again.

Based on the report, on the camp of Navarro, they are expecting the Court to hear their appeal and allow him to post a bail. The Court of Appeals has also released a decision on the appeal of businessman Cedric Lee to dismiss the case filed against him and six others by Navarro.

Navarro filed serious illegal detention case against Lee and his companions as he stressed that he’s the victim in the incident. The decision of CA was warmly welcomed by the actor-comedian’s camp saying that it is giving him more strength amid his situation.
