Kaye Abad will remain a Kapamilya
Actress Kaye Abad received a loyalty award from her home network ABS-CBN during the recent Star Magic Christmas Ball.
Kaye’s career in showbiz is being handled by Star Magic, the talent management company of the Kapamilya network since 1993. From being a child star, she evolved into a drama actress and has done various projects in her home network.
Her acting career was boosted by her role in the youth-oriented drama series Tabing Ilog. Although ABS-CBN was not given the right to renew its franchise, Kaye Abad still chooses to stick with her home network just like many Kapamilya stars.
In her thank you speech for the loyalty award that was given to her, based on the article in Newsko, the actress said that she has nothing to prove anymore when it comes to her loyalty to ABS-CBN.
“Thank you to my Star Magic family for this recognition. Hindi ko na siguro kailangan pang patunayan sa inyo kung gaano ko kayo kamahal, because never pumasok sa isip kong iwanan kayo,” Kaye said.
The actress also thanked Star Magic and Direk Lauren Dyogi who is now the head of the Kapamilya talent management firm. Kaye also admitted that he misses acting.
When she settled with her husband former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Paul Jake Castillo, their family lived in Cebu. She also took a break from doing showbiz engagements.
She jokingly said that she wants to go back to acting if she will not get pregnant again. On a more serious note, the actress said that she never left the entertainment industry.
“Siguro nagpahinga lang because priority ko is mag-baby muna because I’m not getting any younger. So palakihin ko muna ‘yung mga bata then I will, for sure go back because nami-miss ko na rin talaga ‘yung acting,” Kaye Abad said.
