Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi Reunites W/ Mother In Italy
MISS UNIVERSE PH 2022 – Reigning Miss Universe Philippines Silvia Celeste Cortesi got reunited with her mom Maria Luisa Rabimbi in Parma, Italy.
Celeste Cortesi will represent the Philippines at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in December 2022. The mother of the Fil-Italian beauty queen, Maria Luisa Rabimbi, is from Camarines Sur.
She is very open about how important her mom is to her. In fact, during the Question and Answer portion of the MUPH pageant, Celeste brought up her mom when asked about how she would like to spend her day if she could stop time.
Celeste Cortesi said, “If I could stop time, I would spend it with my family, especially my mother. It’s been two years since I haven’t spent time with my family because they live in Italy, and I came here in the Philippines just by myself. If I had a chance to spend one day, I would definitely be with my mom, and I would just tell her how much I love her and I miss her.”
In a previous Instagram post, the 24-year-old beauty queen thanked her mom for being a Pinay and introducing her to the Philippines.

Just recently, Celeste Cortesi got reunited with her beloved mother in Italy. On the YouTube page of Empire Philippines, she documented her vacation to Italy.
“The full video of my trip in Italy is finally out on Empire.ph YouTube channel. I hope you guys got the chance to know me a bit better,” Celeste announced on her IG page.
The video, according to Celeste Cortesi, would provide viewers with a better understanding of her past.
“I always talk so much about the importance of showing your vulnerability, the importance of being real and authentic. And I’m not going to lie, sometimes I am scared, too. Scared to be judged, scared to not be entirely understood. Here I share my story, the place where I grew up for most of my life, and while you already know the reason why I came back to the Philippines, now you’ll also know why I grew up in Italy. Here I share my family, my friends, my heart,” she said.
Celeste Cortesi also opened up about the difficulties she has been having. In the vlog, Maria Luisa was interviewed and discussed the difficulties their family encountered. She also discussed the beginning of her daughter’s participation in beauty pageants. Maria also commented on Celeste’s Miss Universe Philippines performance.
