76-Year-Old Grandma Victimized by 3 Unidentified Suspects Using Budol Modus
A 76-year-old grandma lost P420, 000 worth of cash and jewelry to budol modus involving three unidentified suspects.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
Recently, three suspects were able to convince the elderly lady to withdraw her money from two bank accounts using an ATM card. The suspect tried to sweet-talk the elderly victim until they convinced her to do what they want.
The grandma’s daughter/son-in-law, two ladies, and a guy approached her. They convinced her to withdraw money from the ATM and promised to return the money and pay P1, 000 for every piece of jewelry.
The victim received a package from the suspects believing it was wrapped in money and jewelry. According to the victim’s relative, the elderly woman gets nervous and anxious after the three did not return.
“Parang naramdamdaman daw ni mommy noong time nay un, kinakabagan na talaga siya. Parang ma mga magagandang salitang sinabi kay mommy kaya naengganyo. Nagta-tagalog daw,” Victim’s son-in-law Antonyo Panambo
The senior citizen gets shocked after learning that the package only contains a bundle of paper instead of money.
