PAGASA Says Shear Line to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Weather Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (November 8, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that the Shear Line will be affecting Northern Luzon. It will bring Cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol region and Northern Samar.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.
Similar weather condition is expected over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro due to the Easterlies/localized thunderstorms.
“Asahan po sa mga kababayan natin diyan, malaki po yung tsansa ng maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan mula sa mahina hanggang sa katamtaman, at kung minsan ay malalakas nga na pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
The localized thunderstorms will bring fair weather with chances of isolated rain and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The rest of the archipelago will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
