PAGASA: LPA to Bring Rains Over Parts of Visayas & Mindanao (November 3, 2022)

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (November 3, 2022)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area would bring rains over parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

On Thursday (November 3, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area will continue to affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been last spotted 420 kilometers east of General Santos City. The trough of the low-pressure area (LPA) and localized thunderstorms will bring rain showers and thunderstorms over the country.

The LPA would bring cloudy weather with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao, and Soccsksargen as well as in Bohol, Lanao del Sur, and Maguindanao.

“Asahan natin magpapatuloy itong maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na thunderstorms. So ayun nga, dahil sa epekto ng mga ulan na dala ni Paeng, posible saturated pa rin ang mga lupa ng mga nabanggit na lugar, kaya mataas pa rin ang tsansa ng landslide at flash floods,” Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. Mindanao, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
