Debbie Garcia had to go through these challenges
Vivamax actress Debbie Garcia opened up about the challenges she encountered these past years.
Debbie has been in the entertainment industry for a decade now. Just recently, she was given a chance to star in films shown on Vivamax. Aside from being known as one of the Viva artists featured in films with intimate scenes, she went viral just recently.
It is because of an altercation between her and Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial. The CCTV footage showed that they had a fight and Debbie filed charges against Barbie. After the incident, comedienne Giselle Sanchez who is also a columnist in Manila Bulletin shared that she contacted Debbie Garcia for an interview.
However, Debbie refused to say anything because she was told by her lawyer not to make any statement about the incident unless this came from her legal counsel. The Vivamax actress shared instead that last year, from March to April, she was at the hospital after a car accident.
She was from a lock-in taping and fell asleep while driving. “I was wearing a seatbelt so my face got saved but my internal organs were smashed especially my small intestines. I went home from the hospital with the colostomy bag,” Debbie shared, adding that was her life for three months.
After that, she had to go back to the hospital for another operation. She lost weight while recovering and get back in shape again. Debbie said that she will not let these kinds of challenges put her down.
She also said that she has turned her back on being a “pasaway.”. “So many things have happened in my life. My brother died of kidney failure, I even fainted when I found out. I am now taking care of my lola and my brother’s kid. Then the pandemic hit and I had no work,” the actress shared.
After the lockdown, she was able to go back to work but then, the accident happened and this caused her savings. Now, she is facing a legal battle against Barbie Imperial. “When my work resumed, after my first project, I met an accident that left me with huge hospital bills and halted work for almost a year, and now this legal battle,” Debbie Garcia said.
