Based on a report on Inquirer, the US lotto jackpot prize for Powerball hit $1.6 billion which makes it the largest lotto prize ever. The last Powerball grand prize won was on August 3, 2022 in Pennsylvania.
Based on the report, the next draw is on Saturday and it will be held at the Florida Lottery studio. It will be the 40th Powerball draw since the grand prize of the said lotto game was last won. According to the organizers, the odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292.2 million.
To join the lotto game, the Powerball lotto ticket costs $2. The tickets are sold in 45 US states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia among others. To play the game, you need to choose five (5) different numbers from one to 69 which will make up your combination.
