Piso WiFi Vendo Stolen in Tagum City, Male Suspect Caught on Camera
A male suspect was caught on camera while attempting to steal a Piso WiFi vending machine in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
Jerico Retalo, a Facebook user, shared a video of an alarming incident wherein a Piso WiFi vending machine was stolen. The video immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments online.
The video shows a man approaching a ‘PISO WIFI’ vending machine, which was securely placed inside a steel cage. The thief can be seen cautiously looking around and pausing intermittently as people pass by.
The thief spent several minutes attempting to steal the vending machine. His efforts were interrupted when a vehicle passed by, causing him to retreat temporarily. After ensuring that the area was clear, he attempted to forcibly pull the vending machine out of its cage.
Despite using force, the man struggled to extract the vending machine. After several minutes of trying and failing, he eventually gave up and left the scene.
Luckily, the CCTV captured clear images of his face, which will be useful for identifying and apprehending him.
The owner of the vending machine, along with other business owners in the area, has issued a warning to be extra cautious and to take additional security measures to protect their machines.
They advise installing strong security cages, regularly monitoring the machines, and ensuring that CCTV cameras are functioning correctly to prevent such incidents in the future. The community is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to authorities.
