Debutant Claire Acel Celebrates 18th Birthday Amid Devastation of Typhoon Paeng
A lady debutant identified as Claire Acel has celebrated her 18th birthday amid the devastation of Typhoon Paeng.
A Facebook user named Archie Villaflores has shared the photos of his cousin Claire Acel’s 18th birthday celebration amid Typhoon Paeng. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Villaflores said that the debut is supposed to be celebrated last October 18, 2022, but was postponed and rescheduled on October 29, 2022 for a long weekend celebration due to work and class suspensions.
“Oct 18 talaga yung bday tapos ito ang celebration para masamantala yung long weekend dahil walang pasok sa school at sa work yung mga bisita,” Archie said.
Unfortunately, Typhoon Paeng lashes the country with strong winds and heavy rains resulting in massive flooding and landslides in several areas. The typhoon also causes damage to numerous houses and establishments.
However, Claire Acel and her visitors did not mind the typhoon and decided to celebrate her debut in Lemery, Batangas amid heavy rains. Luckily, the flood did not reach their area and no damage has been recorded nearby.
“Hindi na namin inisip pa yung sa bagyo at itinululoy na lang since dumayo pa nga kami from Kawit, Cavite. Hindi naman bumaha, hindi rin nagbabagsakan mga puno. Pero walang tigil yung ulan at malakas ang hangin simula pa kahapon,” Villaflores added.
Only a few visitors were to attend Claire’s birthday due to the inclement weather condition but the celebration succeeds.
