Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo has deleted her viral apology post for her parents Daddy Delfin and Mommy Divine Geronimo.
It is known to many Popsters that Sarah’s relationship with her parents had a conflict when she had her very private wedding with her husband Matteo Guidicelli. Reports surfaced that Mommy Divine tried to stop the ceremony and reportedly, a commotion happened.
Eventually, Sarah and Matteo became husband and wife. For two years, the actress-singer could not bridge the gap between her and her parents. Just recently, the Popstar Royalty shared a post that went viral.
Sarah Geronimo apologized to her parents. She also said, “Mahal na mahal ko kayo.. daddy at mama ko. araw-araw ko po kayong nami-miss at naiisip.” This caught the attention of many netizens, especially her fans.
With this, fans anticipated that this could be the start of her reconciliation with her parents and this would also open the door for her parents to be close to her husband.
Following her viral apology post, the actress-singer released the video of her new single Dati-Dati. This brought excitement to her fans who are waiting for her to release a new song.
However, it is quite noticeable that Sarah has already deleted her post saying sorry to Mommy Divine and Daddy Delfin. It is a known fact in showbiz that Mommy Divine was very hands-on when it comes to Sarah’s career and even her love life.
Based on the article by entertainment columnist Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Mommy Divine was “sobrang ma-PR.” She would organize a get-together with friends from the press and chat with them.
“Pag-uwi ng mga ito, may nakahanda na siyang isang plastic na may laman minsan tatlong apple, tatlong orange, konting ubas at iba-iba pa. Tuwang-tuwa noon ang press at na-appreciate ni Mommy Divine ang kanilang suporta kay Sarah,” the columnist shared.
Asis added that this was the thing in the past but now, artists are depending on social media when it comes to PR. As of this writing, there is no explanation why Sarah Geronimo deleted her post.
