Class Suspensions for Wednesday (October 26, 2022)
WALANG PASOK – Different local government units have declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition.
On Wednesday (October 26, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that a low-pressure area has been spotted at 1,010 kilometers east of eastern Visayas.
The LPA may become a tropical depression this afternoon and will be named “Paeng”. However, the weather disturbance may recurve and not make landfall but it might make landfall somewhere in Visayas or central Luzon.
The LPA’s trough or extension will continue a bad weather condition over some parts of the country. The shear line and northeast monsoon will also affect the country’s weather condition.
Recently, several local government units have declared class suspension in various area due to the inclement weather brought by the LPA.
Here is the list of areas covered by the class suspensions:
Calabarzon
- Cavite province – Tanza – All levels (public and private)
- Rizal – All levels (public and private)
Tanza, Cavite Mayor Yuri Pacumio declared the suspensions of classes in all levels in borth public and private schools in the area. Governor Nina Ynares canceled the classes in Rizal.
Governor Matthew Manotoc has also declared class cancellations and suspension of government work in Ilocos Norte.
The cancellation of classes have been declared to ensure the safety of both students and school employees from possible risk due to the bad weather condition.
