Miss Q&A winner Anne Patricia Lorenzo apologizes and defends her answer in the competition.
ANNE PATRICIA LORENZO – “Miss Q&A: Kween of the Multibeks” grand winner Anne Patricia Lorenzo talks about her final answer.
Anne Lorenzo is the winner of Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime’s “Miss Q&A: Kween of the Multibeks”. She bested out eight other grand finalists during the “Queen-finity War” of the grand finals.
She is a returning candidate. In 2019, she settled for a Top 6 finish in the Showtime pageant and she was Miss International Queen Philippines 2022 pageant’s first runner-up. As a winner, she takes home Php 500,000.00 cash, Php 100,000.00 worth of beauty package, and Php 450,000.00 worth of business package.
But apart from being the winner, she became a trending topic online for another reason. Her final answer was controversial when she was asked, “Naniniwala ka bang may taong tanga?”
This is her answer:
“I believe, oo. Naniniwala akong may taong tanga. Bakit? Dahil sinasadya niyang magpakatanga kahit lahat naman tayo ay may kakayahang malaman kung ano ang tama at mali.
Nilikha tayong matalino, pero choice natin magpakatanga at sila yung mga totoong taong tanga dahil pinipili nila magpakabobo sa sitwasyong kailangan naman nila at kayang-kaya nilang maging matalino.
Tulad na lang sa pagpili ng pinuno ng ating bayan. Nagiging tanga tayo dahil alam naman natin kung sino ang may kredibilidad at may kakayahan pero pinipili natin ang mga taong. Nagpapadala pa rin tayo sa mga taong may mga matatamis na mga salita at iyan ang pagkakataong may taong tanga. And I thank you.”
And now, after winning, she expressed in an interview that everything is still keeping her on cloud 9. She admitted this during an interview with TeleRadyo’s Sakto.
In the same interview, she talked about her final answer and apologized for it. She explained that right at that moment, it was her opinion and she was just sharing it with the people.
She believes people have different views and for that question, it was her own opinion. She was not alluding to something or someone.
“So sorry po, wala po akong pinapatamaan or anything. Basta ‘yun lang po ang nasa puso ko at that time. Kaya ‘yun po ang sinabi ko, ‘yun ang sinagot ko,” Lorenzo said.
