2 Teachers were Arrested along with City Employee for Using Illegal Drugs

Police authorities arrested two (2) teachers along with a City Hall employee after allegedly being caught using an illegal drugs.

The two teachers were allegedly captured by police sniffing illegal substances. The municipal worker, on the other hand, was placed in handcuffs after being busted during a buy-bust operation in the town of Malita, Davao Occidental, for selling shabu.

Teachers Illegal Drug

Isabel Tango and Haren Fel Tagose, both public school teachers, and Rodrigo Rodriguez, alias Rolly, 68, a worker at Davao Occidental LGU and inhabitant of Brgy. Poblacion, Malita, and Western Davao were identified as the suspects. The drug den where the arrest happened was allegedly run by Rodriguez.

Rodriguez was able to sell a package of shabu worth P15,000.00 in a joint operation by the Malita Municipal Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11. The two teachers were captured as the operatives launched a quick attack on the drug den, based on the report.

Three packets of dried marijuana leaves, 11 grams of shabu worth P165,000, and drug accessories were also found in the neighborhood. If Rodriguez and Tanggo are found guilty, it is possible that the maximum penalty will be imposed on them and they will not be able to return to work in the government.

The suspects are being held in the Malita Police Station’s lock-up cell and are accused of breaking Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
