The manager of Bea Alonzo consulted a lawyer
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo chose not to file a case against veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis.
The issues being raised by Lolit against Bea on her Instagram posts prompted the actress’s manager Shirley Kuan to speak. It is known to many showbiz fans that Bea is a frequent topic of Lolit’s write-ups and all of them were attacks or criticisms.
Bea’s manager reiterated that the attacks coming from the veteran columnist were unprovoked. The actress also said in a previous interview that she and Lolit haven’t met yet. Bea refused to say anything about the attack against her but instead, she said she is praying for Lolit’s health.
In a recent installment of PEP’s interview, Shirley Kuan confirmed that their camp consulted a lawyer for the possible legal action against Lolit Solis’s baseless attacks. However, the manager said that Bea Alonzo chose not to file a case against the veteran columnist.
Shirley said, “the lawyers, without consulting them, sila na yung nag-draft ng documents.” When these documents were sent to the actress for her to sign, she said that she would not let it reach a legal battle.
“She refused to sign it because ayaw niya… out of the goodness of her heart, ayaw niyang patulan ang matanda. That’s what she said. ‘Ayaw kong pumatol. Plus, what if something happens to her, baka ang mangyayari, ako pa ang sisihin,’” Shirley shared.
Later on, it was reported that Lolit has a health problem and Shirley called Bea about this. The talent manager said to the actress, “You know what, I really admire you for doing the right thing. Ikaw talaga, meron kang divine guidance.”
Although Shirley still plans to file a complaint, she said that Bea really does not want to go down this path. Despite the criticisms from Lolit Solis, Shirley Kuan said that the endorsements being offered to Bea Alonzo were not affected, as well as the ratings of her show. Shirley said that the actress has more endorsements projects now.
