GMA released this statement showing support for Bea Alonzo
A-list actress Bea Alonzo received support from GMA, her home network since 2021 amid the issues being brought up by veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis.
From the time Bea transferred to the Kapuso network, Lolit has started sharing negative write-ups about the actress. The columnist criticized the looks and appearance of Bea. Lolit would always say that the actress looks old.
The columnist even said that the South Korean producers of Start-Up PH were dismayed that Bea was the lead actress in the Pinoy version because allegedly they think that the actress is too old for the role. Previously, GMA slammed this claim that Lolit made as the network pointed out that there is no truth to this.
Just recently, after a long silence, Shirley Kuan, the manager of Bea Alonzo, answered Lolit Solis’s tirades. The talent manager said that they don’t understand why the columnist has continued her unprovoked attacks against the actress. Shirley even called Lolit a “bully.”
The columnist shared a write-up about Shirley’s statement. Lolit said that she does not want to answer Bea’s manager’s statement in English. On October 14, GMA released this statement showing support for the Kapuso actress.
“Nananatiling buo ang suporta at pagpapahalaga ng GMA Network kay Ms. Bea Alonzo bilang isang aktres at aming Kapuso,” the network stated. GMA also said that it is happy about the warm welcome from the Start-Up PH viewers at Bea’s good portrayal of her role as Alden Richard’s onscreen partner.
The Kapuso network also thanked the fans and supporters of Bea who continue to love her. GMA also stressed that it is not promoting negativity. “Wala sa kultura ng Kapuso ang paninira sa kahit sino man at hindi rin namin pinapayagan na pagsalitaan ng hindi totoo ang aming mga artista at programa,” the network said.
Bea Alonzo’s home network also stressed that showbiz is a small word and it is hoping for happiness and good camaraderie for everyone in the industry.
