Ramon Tulfo Belittles & Insults Delivery Boy, Netizens Express Rage

Being poor means being ignorant? Ramon Tulfo receives backlash after belittling a delivery boy online.

RAMON TULFO – Many people online slammed Ramon Tulfo because of the insulting comment he expressed to this person.

According to statistics and data, the number of poor people in the Philippines increased. More Filipinos have become poorer compared to 2018. In 2018, there were 17.67 million poor Filipinos and 3.71 million jobless Filipinos. And since poverty is a never-ending dilemma for many people, each of us has “kanya-kanyang diskarte” to survive.

And by speaking “kanya-kanyang diskarte”, it should be as long as you earn in an honorable manner. May it be a high-paying job or a low-paying job, it shouldn’t define what kind of people we are.

However, it seems like respect to other people, specifically for a delivery boy, is nowhere to be seen in these statements of Ramon Tulfo, a broadcaster and columnist.

Replying to this comment from a delivery boy, his words left a bitter taste in many people online. His statements were belittling and insulting and a lot of hearts were broken because the delivery boy was misjudged because of his job.

“These words by this delivery driver who was insulted by Tulfo hit me hard. Mas naiintindihan pa ng driver ang konsepto ng delikadesa at conflict of interest kesa sa isang Justice Secretary, isang presidente at ni Ramon Tulfo, kung anuman ang kanyang propesyon,” says a netizen name Mark Rossimo who shared a screenshot of the comments.

In the comment, Tulfo insulted the delivery boy by telling him to not lurk or join in this conversation of intelligent people because he is just a delivery boy. But these insulting words did not affect the man. He spewed words of reality to the insulting words of the man who claimed to be intelligent but doesn’t have respect for his kind of job.

“Ganun lang kaliit sa tingin ninyo kaming mga anak ng mahirap na patuloy kumakayod makaraos sa kahirapang aming tinatamasa. Lumalaban ng patas, hindi gaya ng anak ng Justice Secretary.”
