Lady Consumer Airs Dismay After Scammed for Paying Parcel She Did Not Ordered
SCAM ALERT – A lady consumer expresses disappointment after she was scammed for paying a parcel she did not ordered.
A lady customer named Abbey Federez has expressed her disappointment after she was victimized by a scam. The latter paid for a parcel she did not order and found out that it was a scam.
Last August 2022, delivery personnel delivered a parcel to their home. The package is supposed to be delivered to her parents-in-law. She paid for the parcel and even give the change to the delivery personnel.
Unfortunately, she discovered that her parents-in-law did not order anything and realized that she was scammed. Federez conclude that the suspect get the information from the packaging, which was thrown at the trash bin.
Abbey and her family started to take precautionary measures to avoid such incidents. They were listing the details of items they have ordered before leaving the house.
“What we do now kung may nag-order po samin dito bago aalis ng bahay, nililista po kung ano ang inorder at magkano, tapos kung dadating na yung delivery tinatawagan po naming yung mga nag-order dito na kaanak,” Federez said.
The Department of Trade of Industry Usec. Ruth Castelo has advised the public to verify the items before receiving them.
“Kailangan medyo wise din tayo as consumers eh. Kailangan natin i-verify sa mga kasama natin kung talagang nag-order sila, pwede po nilang dalhil yan sa DTI” Castelo said.

Just J&T express delivered to me package of which i ask if it is from Lazada or shopee. The delivery said it does not show. So I doubted I did not pay return to the courier for we don’t order outside these online shopping. Same thing happened to my sister one courier and delivered same day same time. Be careful cause times these scam they hack Fb accounts n use it for online shop to get money.
Sometimes the ordering proceedure is a bit vague and hard to know when youbcheck out an item if youve ordered it or not. If you donevthink youve ordered it, dont accept delivery
