Herlene Budol is officially a Kapuso teleserye star
Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-p Herlene Budol talked about her first series on GMA, Magandang Dilag.
From being a Wowowin contestant to becoming a host and a beauty queen, Herlene is now exploring the world of acting. Previously, she did a YouTube series with Joseph Marco, Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask.
Now, she is officially a telersye star of GMA. Last month, rumors surfaced that she and her manager Wilbert Tolentino signed a contract with the Kapuso network as they were spotted with the executives of the media company. Back then, there were no final details were released.
Just recently, it was confirmed that Herlene Budole will star in a Kapuso series, based on the article in Manila Bulletin. She will be joined by Benjamin Alves, Maxine Medina, Rob Gomez, and Adrian Alandy, as well as veteran stars such as Christopher De Leon, Sandy Andolong, and Chanda Romero.
Having this major TV project feels surreal for Herlene. “Parang hindi pa rin po pumapasok sa utak ko na nandito na ako,” she said. It is an overwhelming feeling for her to work with the stars she just used to watch on TV.
“Nakikita ko sila, nakakasama at nakakausap ko na,” the beauty queen said. Regarding the series, Herlene shared that the plot is about the world of fashion. With this, she recalled the line from her answer to the question asked to her during the Bb. Pilipinas competition.
“Nadidikit ko yung, ‘because I know for myself that I am uniquely beautiful with a mission’. Feeling ko maraming nakakarelate na mga tao,” the Kapuso star said.
Meanwhile, Herlene Budol previously slammed the allegation that she is being boastful now as it is harder to get her to do stints after her pageant success. She said that since there are people handling her career and making sure to manage it properly, everything should be in the process.
