Cedric Lee Speak Out After Vhong Navarro Voluntary Surrendered to Police
Businessman Cedric Lee issues a statement following the arrest of Tv host-actor Vhong Navarro due to the case filed by Deniece Cornejo.
Entrepreneur Cedric Lee could not contain his happiness with the issuance of warrants for actor Vhong Navarro. Navarro turned himself into the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on September 19, but he was unable to go home because a new warrant had been issued for which the court had not approved a bail amount.
According to Lee’s statement, he is “vindicated” because Navarro will be able to answer for what he allegedly did to the woman he is accused of raping after nine years. Lee may have even blamed the former senator Leila de Lima, who was supposed to have defended Navarro in the past but is now helpless because she too is entrapped.
“Cedric Lee on Vhong Navarros’s Incarceration – “He has to face all other charges against him. Just like we did. I feel slightly vindicated bec finally we wil have our day in court after almost 9yrs. This serial r*pist will finally be made to answer for all the women he r*ped,” based on the Twitter post of Niko Baua.
“He cnt hide anymore behind Delima who’s now in jail, or Calvento who’s dead, or ABS who lost its franchise. His modus operandi of being a serial rapist will now be exposed,” Baua added.
The alleged special treatment that Navarro received from De Lima when she was the secretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ) was one of the concerns brought up during the De Lima controversy. One of those who penned an open letter to De Lima criticizing the former senator for not listening to her was VJ Kat Alano.
“Do not use Filipino women as protection against your own wrongdoings. When I contacted you and beseeched you as a woman and a Filipino to stand up for r*pe victims everywhere, you turned a blind eye. And now you want the women of the Philippines to stand behind you?” said Alano.
