Topacio claimed in a formal statement that it took eight years for them to receive the long-awaited justice for what had occurred to his client. Topacio thinks they still have a long way to go, especially given how well-known and influential Navarro is.

It also criticized ABS-CBN for purportedly airing its talent as being innocent. He claims that the network is making a valiant effort to cast him as the victim and make sub judice disclosures.

“The accused is wealthy and well-connected, and evidently still has the support of his network ABS-CBN in a desperate attempt to make sub judice statements and play the victim card in his favor.” Topacio said.

Navarro reiterated that he is innocent and said that “God” is with him in this battle. Due to the non-bailable warrant that he is currently facing, Navarro is being held in the NBI.

Meanwhile, the comedian-TV personality was the subject of a second arrest warrant. Judge Loralie C. Datahan of Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 69 issued the arrest warrant.
