Rabiya Mateo debunked this rumor about her
Ticktoclock host Rabiya Mateo, through a video, put an end to the rumors that he went under the knife to fix his nose.
After winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant, old photos of Rabiya surfaced online. Netizens talked about her high school yearbook photo and the ones before joining the national pageant.
Because of those old photos and her current photos, speculations surfaced that she has undergone cosmetic surgery. Amid the negative comments on her before-and-after image, Rabiya stressed that she is beautiful.
In a recent TikTok video, based on the article in the Philippine Entertainment Portal, the beauty queen-turned-actress showed proof that she did not undergo nose surgery. The caption of her post stated, “Totoo ang chismis hahahaha.” Then Rabiya Mateo used hashtags “#fyp, #foryoupage, and #nose.”

In the video, the Kapuso star pushed the tip of her nose upward. Apparently, she wanted to show that her nose did not go through a rhinoplasty operation. Many netizens supported her and said that she indeed debunked the nose job rumors.
Rabiya did not confirm or deny directly the allegation that she is a “retokada”. However, reportedly, her mother defended her by saying, “Wala namang retoke si Rabiya.”
Previously, the Kapuso star said that she is nothing against cosmetic surgery to enhance one’s looks, especially if this will help boost the confidence of a person. For her, if a person finds happiness in this, then, other people should let it. She also said that if a person chooses to undergo enhancement, this won’t make her or him less of a person.
“First, it’s their money. It’s their own choice. And for me kasi, equality is giving everyone, you know, equal decision to decide for themselves,” Rabiya Mateo said.
