Grade 7 Student Goes Viral for Riding Unicycle on Her Way to School
BOCAUE, BULACAN – A grade 7 student is riding a unicycle on her way to school and back home to save money.
A 12-year-old girl identified as Hannamichi has been spotted riding a unicycle on her way to school. She is riding a unicycle not to display her skills but as a necessity in order to save cash.
“Kailangan ko talangang magtipid kasi po kung mag-tricycle ako pauwi, wala po kaming makakain,” Hannamichi said.
Hannamichi uses a unicycle to reach her school faster. Her unicycle ride takes 30 to 45 minutes. The lady’s father who is working as a company driver said that he could not afford to buy her a bicycle.
The student’s dad just bought the unicycle for only P400. The girl’s mom said that Mitchi understands it and never complained about their situation.
“Kapag sinasabi ko na ganito lang kayo, ganito lang muna kasi wala pa. Pumapayag din sila wala silang reklamo. Kahit si Mitchi, wala, wala kang maririnig na reklamo,” Hannamichi’s mother said.
The lady student’s dad taught her to balance the unicycle but there are still times when she falls and gets injured.
“Sa totoo lang medyo masakit sa damdamin ko na ganon yung ginagawa sa mga bata, lalo yung nakita ko yung video, nakita ko yung may bag siya, may dala siya,” Hannamichi’s dad added.
A netizen captured Hannamichi on video while riding a unicycle and posted it on social media. The video spread like a wildfire online and inspired the netizens to rise above the odds for their goals in life.
