Police Authorities Arrest Siblings for Stealing Bicycle in Quezon City
The police authorities were able to arrest the siblings who reportedly stole the bicycle of a 17-year-old victim in Quezon City.
With the help of the barangay’s CCTV footage, the authorities were able to locate and arrested the 44-year-old and 29-year-old male siblings for stealing a bicycle from their helpless victim in Quezon City.
The Barangay Public Safety Officer (BPSO) of Barangay Mariana immediately launched backtracking after the victim reported the incident. In the CCTV footage, the suspects entered the compound wherein the victim is working as a caretaker.
After six minutes, the thieves leave the vicinity riding the stolen bicycle. The other CCTV footage shows the suspect roaming around the village with his sibling. The suspect also stopped in front of a house in the area.
According to the barangay, they were able to trace the path of the suspects until the two stopped at a nearby church in the town to sleep. The officers arrested the two who admitted the crime.
The barangay officials also revealed that the suspects have previously received complaints.
“Etong mga tao na ‘to, matagal na rin kasi namin itong sinusubaybayan eh, binabantayan na namin ‘to kasi marami na hong nagrereklamo na mga residente dito na nawawalan sila, Tsaka nagaantay lang din naman kasi kami ng tyempo na may desidido talaga na mag reklamo eh, perwisyo na talaga yan dito sa amin,” BPSO Anthony Yuson said.
The barangay officials turned over the suspects to the Galas Police Station of Quezon City Police District. Unfortunately, the cops failed to recover the stolen bike, which was sold for only P200.
