ABS-CBN BALL 2022 POSTPONED – This year’s ABS-CBN Ball gets postponed and here’s a statement from the media company.
In a previous article, people from the online community got excited as ABS-CBN Corporation announced the official date, venue, and theme of the much-anticipated ABS-CBN Ball this year. This is the comeback of this big event two years after they missed celebrating due to health threats and other particular reasons.
To recall, two years ago, they were also forced to shut down and officially closed down when the network failed in its franchise renewal bid. It resulted in a massive job loss amid a pandemic and many of its artists jumped out and transferred to another network.
For this year, the event would have to be at the high-end Marriott Hotel on October 2. Modern Filipiniana is the theme but on Wednesday, September 14, another announcement was made and the announcement made was the postponement of the event.
“Given the circumstances”, the upcoming event was postponed and the network added, “We remain grateful to our Kapamilya stars, industry partners and friends for their unwavering support.”
The media company did not specifically divulge the real reason behind the postponement. It stressed that the purpose of the event is supposed to show gratitude to the Kapamilya stars, industry partners, and friends that stayed.
To recall, it was in the year 2006 when the first Star Magic Ball was held. The name of the event was later changed to ABS-CBN Ball in 2018 so that all Kapamilya artists will be allowed to join despite different management groups.
