PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (September 5)

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that generally fair weather condition is expected nationwide.

On Monday (September 5, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Southwest Monsoon will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

“Sa kasalukuyan ang southwest monsoon ay nakakaapekto sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon kaya ngayong araw ay makakaasa pa rin tayo ng pag-ulan dulot nito,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Habagat will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Bataan, Pangasinan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.

Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Benguet, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.

The habagat and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the National Capital Region (NCR) and the rest of the country.

“Maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon ang inaasahan natin ngayong araw (Visayas, Mindanao)vMaaraw, bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ng kalangitan pero may isolated rain na pag ulan dulot ng thunderstorm sa bandang hapon o gabi,” Aurelio added.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition Extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
